Medical Business Office Services (MBOS), Inc. was established in 2003 by CEO and founder Jacob A. Mathew. With 20 years of experience as a senior revenue cycle executive and technology architect, Mr. Mathew brings his vast knowledge of the ever-changing medical revenue field to practices across the Midwest.

MBOS, Inc. is a subject matter expert firm with dedicated teams in the fields of MEDICAL REVENUE CYCLE, BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGEMENT, and TECHNOLOGY OUTSOURCING.

BIO: Jake Mathew was the chief software architect of Rush Hospital’s for-profit company, Arc Ventures, Inc.’s healthcare receivables division and later served with Health Management Systems (HMS, New York) and as Vice President of Product Development for MEDI.COM, prior to its acquisition by Emdeon. Jake managed the largest Medicaid clearinghouse for Illinois claims. His team developed the Medicare system interface to DDE/FISS interface to the Florida Shared System and designed and developed the IDPA REV System with interfaces for eligibility, claims status, payment, and rejections to Illinois Department of Public Aid. Both of these systems are today owned by Emdeon (WebMD)

He designed and developed the MANG (Medicaid Eligibility) systems and developed the ambulance billing system used by the City of Chicago. He is an expert in X12 EDI claims and clearinghouse operations and served on Illinois Hospital Association’s EDI Task Force and X12 committees.

Jake holds an MBA from DePaul University, Chicago and an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, also from DePaul University.
